We focus on learning about and obtaining the latest in dental technology. In our office we are trained in the use of digital x-rays, intra-oral photography, lasers, implant placement and restoration, invisalign treatment, cosmetic veneers, sedation dentistry and much more.
What to Expect
On your first visit to our office we will complete a comprehensive exam. During this exam, Dr. Chandler’s assistant will take a panorex x-ray (an x-ray that takes a photograph of the entire upper and lower jaw bones and all the teeth in the mouth), a series of digital bitewing x-rays (close up digital photographs of teeth that will expose decay that may be occurring in between teeth), as well as a series of intra-oral photographs. The assistant will discuss with you pertinent medical and dental health history and take an initial blood pressure reading. Using all of this information, as well as any concerns you, the patient, may have, Dr.Chandler will assess your dental needs. With the help of the dental assistant, a complete treatment plan will be put together and printed for your review. Our knowledgeable front office staff will assist you in any questions you may have regarding insurance benefits and can present you with our offices polices and options for payment. In this first visit, our goal is to get to know you. Patient satisfaction is our primary concern.
Sedation Dentistry
It is our hope that by dedicating our office to the care of the apprehensive dental patient, we can help patients that have never before been comfortable in the dental chair. We can help patients gain the ease and confidence to achieve not only complete dental health, but a beautiful smile as well. Dr. Chandler is trained and certified in administering oral conscious sedation. Oral conscious sedation is a form of sedation that does not put a patient all the way to sleep. It deeply relaxes the patient so that they may fall asleep, but is cooperative and can communicate during the sedation. This form of sedation creates an amnesic effect, meaning that when sedation has worn completely off, it is unlikely that the patient will remember much, if anything, from this dental visit. This effect allows Dr. Chandler and his staff to complete many hours of restorations, while not causing discomfort to the patient. The long appointment often allows the patient to have all or most of their dental work completed in one visit.
